Welcome to this space sister! I am so happy that you are here.
-Jaryn Joy Miller
Meet Jaryn
I am Jaryn Miller, and I reside in St. Augustine with my wonderful husband and young daughter. I have been teaching yoga for over a decade. I graduated from Ananda Kula School of Yoga in 2012 where I earned my RYT-200 certification with my teacher Tara Rawson. In the summer of 2023 I began studying at the Kula Shakti School of Tantra to earn my RYT-500 and graduated in the New Year of 2024. I have since been sharing my love of yoga with the St. Augustine community, taught at numerous studios around town, contributed to yoga teacher trainings, and hosted workshops and women’s circles. After my pregnancy and birth experience in 2019 I knew that delving into birthwork and prenatal/postnatal specialty focused asana & practice would be the most fulfilling way for me to share my love for yoga, birth, babies, mothers and the sacredness of the childbearing years with this community. I completed my training in 2020, and I am now also a RPYT and holistic doula.
I am passionate about serving, educating and guiding women and families during the sacred childbearing years and supporting women in awakening and accessing their innate wisdom, power, and strength. The transition into Motherhood and the journey of pregnancy are both supported & nourished by the prenatal yoga practice in a profound way AND having birth education and the support of a doula can significantly improve your pregnancy and birth experience.
I look forward to meeting you and supporting you on your journey.
Doula and Prenatal Care
I am deeply passionate about creating long lasting and meaningful relationships with my prenatal yoga students and my doula clients.
-
Every woman knows what is best for her and her baby.
I support, uplift and advocate for women and their unique wishes in regards to how they want to birth & their personal ideal birth visions.
Every woman has within her an instinctual power and wise intuition. I hold space and support deepening that connection to intuition through the yoga practice and our prenatal visits.
Mothering the Mother
Information about what it means to have a Doula and what positive effects it has on birth outcomes for Mother & Baby
-
nurture and protect a woman’s desired birth experience
provide education, guidance and resources for parents to make the best informed decisions for their family
guide and support continuously through labor and birth
encourage and comfort the Mother by providing emotional support, physical comfort measures and reassurance
create and maintain a safe, calm and relaxing environment for the expectant family
-
Studies have found that when a birthing person has continuous labor support, both Mother and baby are statistically more likely to have better outcomes.
Evidence based research concludes that people who received continuous support were
1) More likely to have spontaneous vaginal births
2) Less likely to have any pain medication, epidurals, negative feelings about childbirth, vacuum or forceps-assisted births, and cesareans
3) Their labors were shorter by about 40 minutes and their babies were less likely to have low Apgar scores at birth.
Yoga to Unite
I have been studying the Bhagavad Gita and Yoga Sutras since 2011. The ancient yogic scriptures inform the depth of my offerings, and I regularly weave yoga philosophy into my own practice and offerings. Yoga is the journey to discovering the connection to one's deep and true Self and honoring that union through your Sadhana, or spiritual practices.
In my classes I invite you to explore the true meaning of yoga which is to ‘yoke’ or ‘unite’ the individual consciousness with the universal consciousness by way of asana, pranayama, mudra, mantra, and meditation.
I want to provide a safe space in which everyone can feel creative, inspired and limitless to the possibilities of their practice. I hold space for students to explore their own unique sacred expressions and am honored to be a guide.
I look forward to leading you in your yoga journey. All of my yoga sessions include asana (postures) pranayama (breathwork) and meditation. I teach all levels from beginner to advanced.
The styles I offer include
-
Beginner yoga is a gentle and accessible introduction to the ancient practice of yoga, designed specifically for individuals who are new to the discipline. Rooted in centuries-old traditions, yoga combines physical postures, controlled breathing, and meditation to promote holistic well-being. The beginner level focuses on building a strong foundation, emphasizing proper alignment, breath awareness, and mindfulness.
-
Vinyasa yoga is a dynamic style of yoga that emphasizes the coordination of breath and movement. This style of yoga is characterized by a series of poses that continuously flow into one another, creating a seamless and almost dance-like sequence. This creates a sense of fluidity and encourages practitioners to maintain a steady and focused mind throughout the practice.
-
Prenatal yoga is a specialized form of yoga designed to support and address the unique needs and changes that occur in a woman's body during pregnancy.
This gentle and safe practice combines elements of traditional yoga with modifications that will provide ease to common pregnancy discomforts and prepare the body for childbirth.
-
Postnatal yoga is a specialized form of yoga designed to support women in the postpartum period after giving birth. This practice focuses on addressing the unique physical and emotional needs of new mothers as they recover from childbirth and adapt to the new flow of motherhood.
This practice is a potent form of self care for the new Mother and has immense benefits in regard to integrating the birth experience and alleviating strain by counteracting excessive flexion in the physical body.
-
Yin yoga is a slow-paced and meditative style of yoga that focuses on deep stretching and relaxation. The practice involves holding passive yoga poses for an extended period, typically ranging from 1 to 5 minutes or even longer. The long-held poses in Yin yoga target the connective tissues around the joints, promoting flexibility and mobility. This is in contrast to more dynamic styles of yoga, which primarily work on muscular strength and endurance.
-
Restorative yoga is a gentle, slow-paced and therapeutic style of yoga that focuses on relaxation and rejuvenation. This practice involves holding a series of passive, supported poses for an extended period of time, typically ranging from 5 to 20 minutes or even longer relying heavily on the use of props such as bolsters, blankets, blocks, and straps. These props are strategically placed to support the body in various postures, allowing the practitioner to comfortably relax into the pose without exerting effort.
-
Ashtanga Yoga is a dynamic and physically demanding style of yoga that follows a specific sequence of postures and is characterized by its emphasis on breath, movement, and a set series of asanas (postures). The practice is known for its structured and disciplined approach, designed to purify the body, mind, and spirit.
I offer instruction on Primary Series.

Partner Yoga, also commonly known as AcroYoga, is a dynamic and interactive form of yoga that combines traditional yoga, acrobatics, and Thai massage. It involves two or more people working together to create a harmonious and balanced practice that integrates elements of strength, flexibility, trust, and communication.
There is a lunar, or restorative side and a solar, or active and energizing side to this practice.
